Color Me Bluetiful: "Kenya's Birthday Look"

Hello Bluetiful Ones!!

First and foremost, I want to give a gigantic thank you to Teneasha for the beautiful birthday post, as well as extend gratitude to all the lovely ladies that offered me happy wishes. Even though I'm working on getting over a cold, seeing those positive words made me feel 100 times better.

Yesterday, I decided to work through the sneezes and sniffles and spruce myself up a bit. Even though my plans only consisted of going to the polls to vote for the California Primary Elections, I figured I might as well do it in style. Little did I know, a free comedy event was taking place at a local club that evening and a friend of mine decided to drag me along. That means I didn't have to worry about a wasted outfit and full face of make up hehe. So today's "Color Me Bluetiful" segment will feature what I rocked for my birthday. Here's the look lovelies...

Foundation: Milani Smooth Finish Oil Free Liquid Foundation in Honey Amber (i'm going to do a review for you soon Yummy, I didn't forget about ya)
Eyes: Wet & Wild Eyeshadow Palette in Sand Castle - gold on inner lid, copper on outer lid, bronze in crease, and pearl as highlight; MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack; L'oreal Voluminous Mascara
Cheeks: Iman blush in Cinnamon
Lips: MAC Lip Liner in Chestnut; MAC Lustreglass in Love Nectar

Dress: J Crew cotton and silk coral baby doll dress
Jacket: Denim Gap bomber
Belt: Forever 21 brown leather waist belt
Shoes: Brown Guess slingback pumps w/peek toe
Jewelery: Gold and brown bangles, gold & cream vintage earrings with brown/green accents

As you can see from my homemade photo shoot, I tend to get a little "dramatic". Exhibit A: me embodying Marilyn Monroe in the second pic. OK, like you never wore a flowy dress on a windy day and didn't feel the urge to do that pose...well, maybe I'm the only one lol. Don't mind my silliness folks, it tends to keep me sane at times :o)

I'd like to reiterate Teneasha's words from the last post and take this time to wish all of the fellow geminis and summer babies a BLUETIFUL birthday. There is beauty in growing, so cherish each second, minute, day, and year that is granted to you. Because just like a fine wine...we get better with time ;-)
