Makeup Haul

Hey Bluetiful Ones!!!

Do you keep a makeup wish list? I do. After a very hectic semester, I decided to treat myself to a few items on my wish list and thought it was a perfect opportunity to make my first youtube video. This video highlights my recent purchases.

our blue cents: MAC is a very popular and high quality brand (and definately one of our FAVS!), however, cosmetics don't start and end with MAC. If you haven't done so already, take a tour of your local drug store's cosmetic department or Sephora and discover the benefits of other brands. You can't go wrong with variety. Feel free to share your favorite non-MAC product with us.

Here's the video....

Sneak Peak:

After completing my video, I couldn't resist doing my makeup. I created this light spring look, with a tutorial to come. I even added my very own pair or NSS earrings to complete the look.

As always, keep it BLUE!!!

Okayyy, everything is on point here, girl! The hair, the make-up, the earrings, lovin' it...

I love me some MUFE, but I have yet to purchase anything from there but I may have to make a trip to Sephora soon. Great video! And OMG, you got Going Bananas. Dang, I'm shocked it's still around. Make sure you get a good base for that b/c it tends to look pretty chalky on warmer skin tones.

Alsooo, can one of you girls hit me with an email (I can't find the address on the page. I have an idea.

Ok- I'm loving your hair! My fav non-MAC item would probably be L'Oreal's Voluminous mascara....BTW, I tagged you in my post today! :)

Ndidi: Thanks!!! I used MAC fluidline, its a gel liner, in blacktrack.

Mischo: Everyone has been raving over Voluminous Mascara, Kenya has it I'll have to give it a try. I've been loyal to my MAC prolash.

Oooo yes! Those LoHIP crayons are great bases annnnddd they take a little bit of work to remove completely, which is a good thing actually. I have the midnight blue one and I pair it with MACs Freshwater & Carbon on the outer V for a hott smokey eye. Good haul!

Hey Lady,

Thanks so much for the make-up tips. . .your picture looks amazing! You must really have great family genes "wink-wink". . .

Last week while participating in the BNO (beauty night out) event I received this gift bag with lot of beauty samples. But, I got the greatest smoldering black eye crayon by BAD gal compliments of BENEFIT. The packaging is a plus as well, small black box with hot pink accents.

Also, check out our local black own cosmetic line called, AME COSMETICS by Sheri Green. You can find her product in DEKKA SHOWROOM

1338 U Street NW, 2nd Floor
Washington DC

Her product prices are very reasonable: $7-$15. . .
